Este proceso es la base del funcionamiento de los reactores nucleares y la producci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda en las centrales nucleares.<\/p>\n<h4>\u00bfC\u00f3mo se produce la fisi\u00f3n nuclear?<\/h4>\n<p>La fisi\u00f3n ocurre cuando un n\u00facleo pesado, como el uranio-235 o el plutonio-239, es bombardeado con neutrones. Sin embargo, la investigaci\u00f3n se centra en mejorar la seguridad de los reactores y reducir los residuos radiactivos.
