La energ\u00eda nuclear se basa en la conversi\u00f3n de la fisi\u00f3n nuclear en energ\u00eda t\u00e9rmica, que posteriormente se utiliza para producir vapor e impulsar generadores para producir electricidad. La base de este proceso es el calentamiento del agua, que constituye la base del funcionamiento de una central nuclear.<\/p>\n

El papel del agua en el funcionamiento de las centrales nucleares<\/strong><\/h4>\n

El agua es uno de los elementos m\u00e1s cr\u00edticos en el funcionamiento de las centrales nucleares, ya que se utiliza para:<\/p>\n

  1. Transferencia de calor:<\/strong> La energ\u00eda liberada por la fisi\u00f3n del uranio o el plutonio calienta el agua en el reactor nuclear.<\/li>\n
  2. Producci\u00f3n de vapor:<\/strong> El agua calentada se convierte en vapor a alta presi\u00f3n, que impulsa las turbinas.<\/li>\n
  3. Enfriamiento:<\/strong> Se utiliza agua para absorber el exceso de calor y evitar que el sistema se sobrecaliente.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    C\u00f3mo se calienta el agua<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    En un reactor nuclear, los \u00e1tomos de uranio-235 experimentan fisi\u00f3n nuclear al ser bombardeados con neutrones. Este proceso libera enormes cantidades de calor. Este calor se transfiere al agua que circula alrededor de las barras de combustible.<\/p>\n

      El proceso de calentamiento de agua en una central nuclear es altamente eficiente:<\/p>\n

        El papel de la refrigeraci\u00f3n en el sistema<\/strong><\/h4>\n

        Tras producir vapor e impulsar las turbinas, este se enfr\u00eda y recupera su estado l\u00edquido. Este enfriamiento suele realizarse mediante torres de refrigeraci\u00f3n o utilizando agua de fuentes naturales, como r\u00edos o mares.<\/p>\n
