Malgr\u00e9 les d\u00e9bats sur sa s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et son \u00e9conomie, de nombreux pays d\u00e9pendent encore largement de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 leurs besoins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques. Dans cet article, nous examinerons de plus pr\u00e8s les pays qui y ont le plus recours, tant en chiffres absolus qu&#039;en pourcentage de leur production totale d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Image mondiale de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Aujourd&#039;hui, environ 440 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires sont en service dans plus de 30 pays \u00e0 travers le monde. Ces r\u00e9acteurs produisent au total environ 390 gigawatts (GW) d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Par ailleurs, une cinquantaine de nouveaux r\u00e9acteurs sont en construction, principalement dans les \u00e9conomies en d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important de la strat\u00e9gie mondiale de r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, car son exploitation produit des \u00e9missions de carbone minimales. Cependant, son adoption varie consid\u00e9rablement d&#039;un pays \u00e0 l&#039;autre\u00a0: certains l&#039;adoptent comme pilier de leur politique \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, tandis que d&#039;autres la rejettent en raison de pr\u00e9occupations li\u00e9es \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, aux co\u00fbts ou \u00e0 la gestion des d\u00e9chets.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Pays leaders dans la production d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire (en chiffres absolus)<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. \u00c9tats-Unis d&#039;Am\u00e9rique<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Les \u00c9tats-Unis se classent au premier rang mondial en mati\u00e8re de production d\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire, avec <strong>94 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> en exploitation produisant environ <strong>95 gigawatts (GW)<\/strong> d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. L&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire repr\u00e9sente environ <strong>20%<\/strong> de la production totale d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Les centrales nucl\u00e9aires am\u00e9ricaines sont principalement situ\u00e9es dans l&#039;est du pays, des \u00c9tats comme l&#039;Illinois, la Pennsylvanie et la Caroline du Sud abritant le plus grand nombre de r\u00e9acteurs. Malgr\u00e9 leur leadership en mati\u00e8re de production, les \u00c9tats-Unis ont construit peu de nouveaux r\u00e9acteurs au cours des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, la plupart \u00e9tant entr\u00e9s en service dans les ann\u00e9es 1970 et 1980.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. France<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La France a <strong>56 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> avec une puissance totale d&#039;environ <strong>63 GW<\/strong>, ce qui en fait le deuxi\u00e8me producteur mondial d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire. La France se distingue par la part de son \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 produite \u00e0 partir de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire, qui atteint environ <strong>70%<\/strong> du total, le pourcentage le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 au monde.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La France a lanc\u00e9 son ambitieux programme nucl\u00e9aire apr\u00e8s la crise p\u00e9troli\u00e8re de 1973, dans le but de r\u00e9duire sa d\u00e9pendance aux combustibles fossiles import\u00e9s. \u00c9lectricit\u00e9 de France (EDF), entreprise majoritairement d\u00e9tenue par l&#039;\u00c9tat, exploite l&#039;ensemble du parc nucl\u00e9aire du pays.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Chine<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Chine op\u00e8re actuellement <strong>52 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> avec une puissance totale d&#039;environ <strong>50 GW<\/strong>Bien que cela ne repr\u00e9sente qu&#039;environ <strong>5%<\/strong> La Chine d\u00e9veloppe rapidement son programme nucl\u00e9aire, qui repr\u00e9sente la part de la production totale d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Avec <strong>17 r\u00e9acteurs en construction<\/strong> Avec des dizaines d&#039;autres projets en cours, la Chine devrait d\u00e9passer les \u00c9tats-Unis et devenir le premier producteur mondial d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire dans les d\u00e9cennies \u00e0 venir. Cette expansion s&#039;inscrit dans le cadre des efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par le pays pour r\u00e9duire sa d\u00e9pendance au charbon et s&#039;attaquer aux graves probl\u00e8mes de pollution atmosph\u00e9rique.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">4. Russie<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Russie a <strong>38 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> avec une puissance totale d&#039;environ <strong>29 GW<\/strong>, produisant environ <strong>20%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. De plus, la Russie fabrique actuellement <strong>4 nouveaux r\u00e9acteurs<\/strong> et a des projets pour plus.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Par l&#039;interm\u00e9diaire de son entreprise publique Rosatom, la Russie est \u00e9galement un exportateur majeur de technologie nucl\u00e9aire, construisant des r\u00e9acteurs dans des pays comme l&#039;Inde, la Turquie, le Bangladesh et l&#039;\u00c9gypte. La Russie a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 pionni\u00e8re dans le d\u00e9veloppement de centrales nucl\u00e9aires flottantes.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">5. Cor\u00e9e du Sud<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Cor\u00e9e du Sud op\u00e8re <strong>24 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> avec une puissance totale d&#039;environ <strong>23 GW<\/strong>, qui produisent environ <strong>30%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. Le pays a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une expertise nationale significative dans la technologie nucl\u00e9aire et a r\u00e9cemment p\u00e9n\u00e9tr\u00e9 le march\u00e9 mondial de l&#039;exportation de r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires, le projet Barakah aux \u00c9mirats arabes unis \u00e9tant sa premi\u00e8re grande initiative internationale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Bien que le gouvernement pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent ait annonc\u00e9 son intention d\u2019abandonner progressivement l\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire, l\u2019administration actuelle a invers\u00e9 cette politique, reconnaissant l\u2019importance de l\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire pour atteindre les objectifs de r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions de carbone.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Pays ayant le pourcentage le plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire dans leur mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. France : 70%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Comme mentionn\u00e9 pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment, la France poss\u00e8de la plus forte proportion d\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire dans son mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique au monde, avec environ <strong>70%<\/strong> de son \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 provient de centrales nucl\u00e9aires. Cela a permis \u00e0 la France de maintenir des \u00e9missions de carbone relativement faibles du secteur \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et de r\u00e9duire sa d\u00e9pendance aux combustibles import\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. Slovaquie : 53%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Slovaquie a <strong>4 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> qui produisent environ <strong>53%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. Les deux centrales nucl\u00e9aires du pays sont situ\u00e9es \u00e0 Bohunice et \u00e0 Mochovce. Deux r\u00e9acteurs suppl\u00e9mentaires sont en construction \u00e0 Mochovce, ce qui devrait accro\u00eetre encore la part de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Ukraine : 51%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Malgr\u00e9 les d\u00e9fis pos\u00e9s par l\u2019accident de Tchernobyl en 1986, l\u2019Ukraine continue de d\u00e9pendre fortement de l\u2019\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire. <strong>15 r\u00e9acteurs<\/strong> qui produisent environ <strong>51%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. La plus grande centrale nucl\u00e9aire d&#039;Europe, la centrale de Zaporijia, dot\u00e9e de six r\u00e9acteurs, est situ\u00e9e en Ukraine.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">4. Hongrie : 48%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Hongrie a <strong>4 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> \u00e0 la station de Paks, qui produit environ <strong>48%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. La Hongrie a conclu un accord avec la Russie pour la construction de deux r\u00e9acteurs suppl\u00e9mentaires, visant \u00e0 maintenir une part \u00e9lev\u00e9e d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire \u00e0 l&#039;avenir.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">5. Belgique : 47%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Belgique a <strong>7 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> qui produisent environ <strong>47%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. Cependant, le pays a l\u00e9gif\u00e9r\u00e9 pour sortir progressivement du nucl\u00e9aire, la fermeture de tous les r\u00e9acteurs \u00e9tant pr\u00e9vue d&#039;ici 2025. Cette d\u00e9cision a suscit\u00e9 des d\u00e9bats sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique et les \u00e9missions de carbone, avec des discussions r\u00e9centes sur la possibilit\u00e9 de prolonger l&#039;exploitation de certaines unit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Les puissances nucl\u00e9aires \u00e9mergentes<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. Inde<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;Inde fonctionne actuellement <strong>23 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> avec une puissance totale d&#039;environ <strong>7 GW<\/strong>, qui repr\u00e9sentent juste le <strong>3%<\/strong> de la production totale d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9. Cependant, le pays a des plans d&#039;expansion ambitieux, avec <strong>8 r\u00e9acteurs en construction<\/strong> et plus encore dans le design.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Le programme indien de thorium pr\u00e9sente un int\u00e9r\u00eat particulier, le pays d\u00e9tenant environ 251 TP3T des r\u00e9serves mondiales de thorium. Le d\u00e9veloppement de r\u00e9acteurs utilisant le thorium pourrait conf\u00e9rer \u00e0 l&#039;Inde une plus grande ind\u00e9pendance \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. \u00c9mirats arabes unis<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Les \u00c9mirats arabes unis (EAU) sont le dernier pays \u00e0 s&#039;\u00eatre ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 la liste des pays utilisant l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire. La centrale nucl\u00e9aire de Barakah, la premi\u00e8re du monde arabe, est entr\u00e9e en service en 2020. <strong>4 r\u00e9acteurs<\/strong> de la station, devraient produire environ <strong>25%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Cette initiative s\u2019inscrit dans le cadre des efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par les \u00c9mirats arabes unis pour diversifier leur \u00e9conomie en s\u2019\u00e9loignant du p\u00e9trole et du gaz et en r\u00e9duisant les \u00e9missions de carbone.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Turquie<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Turquie construit actuellement sa premi\u00e8re centrale nucl\u00e9aire, Akkuyu, avec <strong>4 r\u00e9acteurs<\/strong> qui devraient produire environ <strong>10%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays une fois achev\u00e9e. Le pays pr\u00e9voit \u00e9galement la construction de deux centrales nucl\u00e9aires suppl\u00e9mentaires, \u00e0 Sinop et \u00e0 Ignedas.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Les pays s&#039;\u00e9loignent de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. Allemagne<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;Allemagne, qui poss\u00e9dait autrefois l&#039;un des plus grands parcs de r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires, a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de sortir progressivement du nucl\u00e9aire apr\u00e8s l&#039;accident de Fukushima en 2011. Le dernier r\u00e9acteur nucl\u00e9aire du pays a ferm\u00e9 en avril 2023, marquant la fin de l&#039;\u00e8re nucl\u00e9aire en Allemagne.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Cette d\u00e9cision a suscit\u00e9 un d\u00e9bat sur l&#039;impact sur les \u00e9missions de carbone du pays, l&#039;Allemagne ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 contrainte de s&#039;appuyer davantage sur le charbon et le gaz naturel, tout en d\u00e9veloppant les sources d&#039;\u00e9nergie renouvelables.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. Italie<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;Italie a ferm\u00e9 ses derniers r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires en 1990, \u00e0 la suite d&#039;un r\u00e9f\u00e9rendum organis\u00e9 en 1987 apr\u00e8s l&#039;accident de Tchernobyl. Le pays importe aujourd&#039;hui d&#039;importantes quantit\u00e9s d&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, notamment de France, y compris d&#039;origine nucl\u00e9aire.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Suisse<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Suisse est actuellement en activit\u00e9 <strong>4 r\u00e9acteurs nucl\u00e9aires<\/strong> qui produisent environ <strong>35%<\/strong> de l&#039;\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. Cependant, apr\u00e8s l&#039;accident de Fukushima, le pays a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de sortir progressivement du nucl\u00e9aire, interdisant la construction de nouveaux r\u00e9acteurs et obligeant les r\u00e9acteurs existants \u00e0 fonctionner jusqu&#039;\u00e0 la fin de leur dur\u00e9e de vie utile.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Tendances futures de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">Nouvelles technologies<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Les technologies de r\u00e9acteurs avanc\u00e9s, telles que les petits r\u00e9acteurs modulaires (PRM) et les r\u00e9acteurs de g\u00e9n\u00e9ration 4, promettent une s\u00e9curit\u00e9 accrue, des co\u00fbts r\u00e9duits et une plus grande flexibilit\u00e9. Des pays comme les \u00c9tats-Unis, le Canada, le Royaume-Uni et la Chine investissent massivement dans ces technologies.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">fusion nucl\u00e9aire<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">M\u00eame si la production commerciale d\u2019\u00e9nergie de fusion nucl\u00e9aire est encore \u00e0 plusieurs d\u00e9cennies de distance, des projets internationaux comme ITER en France travaillent au d\u00e9veloppement de cette technologie, qui promet une \u00e9nergie propre quasi illimit\u00e9e avec un minimum de d\u00e9chets.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">Changement climatique et \u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Alors que les pays cherchent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire leurs \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, de nombreux experts affirment que l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire devrait jouer un r\u00f4le majeur dans la d\u00e9carbonation du syst\u00e8me \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique mondial. Cependant, les pr\u00e9occupations relatives \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, aux co\u00fbts et \u00e0 la gestion des d\u00e9chets demeurent des obstacles majeurs dans de nombreux pays.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Conclusions<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;adoption de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire varie consid\u00e9rablement \u00e0 travers le monde, certains pays y d\u00e9pendant pour la majeure partie de leurs besoins \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques, tandis que d&#039;autres l&#039;abandonnent compl\u00e8tement. Les plus grands producteurs d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire en termes absolus sont les \u00c9tats-Unis, la France, la Chine, la Russie et la Cor\u00e9e du Sud, tandis que des pays comme la France, la Slovaquie et l&#039;Ukraine affichent la plus forte proportion d&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire dans leur mix \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;avenir de l&#039;\u00e9nergie nucl\u00e9aire d\u00e9pendra de nombreux facteurs, notamment du succ\u00e8s des nouvelles technologies en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts et d&#039;am\u00e9lioration de la s\u00fbret\u00e9, de l&#039;acceptation du public et des politiques de lutte contre le changement climatique.
