Questo processo \u00e8 responsabile della produzione di energia nel Sole e in altre stelle, dove le condizioni di temperatura e pressione sono estremamente elevate. <a class=\"PaperLink__paperLink___OLzbA\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uw-rm-kbnav=\"anohref\">(Syntelis &amp; Syntelis, n.d.)<\/a>Nella fusione nucleare, i nuclei devono vincere la repulsione elettrostatica causata dai protoni caricati positivamente, il che richiede temperature elevate, solitamente nell&#039;ordine di milioni di gradi Celsius. <a class=\"PaperLink__paperLink___OLzbA\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uw-rm-kbnav=\"anohref\">(Blanas e altri, 2022)<\/a>La fusione nucleare controllata \u00e8 considerata una fonte energetica promettente, poich\u00e9 i suoi sottoprodotti sono meno inquinanti rispetto alle fonti energetiche convenzionali. <a class=\"PaperLink__paperLink___OLzbA\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uw-rm-kbnav=\"anohref\">(Zissis, non specificato)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Al contrario, il <a href=\"https:\/\/nuclearenergy.gr\/it\/fissione-nucleare-fissione\/\"><strong>fissione nucleare<\/strong><\/a> \u00e8 il processo in cui un nucleo pi\u00f9 pesante si divide in due o pi\u00f9 nuclei pi\u00f9 leggeri, con conseguente rilascio di energia e neutroni. Questo processo \u00e8 ampiamente utilizzato nei reattori nucleari per produrre elettricit\u00e0. <a class=\"PaperLink__paperLink___OLzbA\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uw-rm-kbnav=\"anohref\">(Koutitsas, 2020)<\/a>La fissione pu\u00f2 avvenire spontaneamente oppure essere causata dall&#039;impatto dei neutroni su nuclei pi\u00f9 pesanti, come l&#039;uranio-235 o il plutonio-239. <a class=\"PaperLink__paperLink___OLzbA\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uw-rm-kbnav=\"anohref\">(Kortsalioudakis, nd)<\/a>Anche l&#039;energia sprigionata dalla fissione \u00e8 significativa, ma i suoi sottoprodotti, come i rifiuti radioattivi, sono pi\u00f9 pericolosi e richiedono una gestione attenta. <a class=\"PaperLink__paperLink___OLzbA\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uw-rm-kbnav=\"anohref\">(Papamihail &amp; Papamihail, nd)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In sintesi, le principali differenze tra fusione nucleare e fissione includono il tipo di nuclei coinvolti, le condizioni necessarie per il processo e gli effetti ambientali dei loro sottoprodotti. La fusione richiede temperature e pressioni elevate, mentre la fissione pu\u00f2 avvenire in condizioni pi\u00f9 miti.
