Nonostante i dibattiti sulla sua sicurezza e sui suoi aspetti economici, molti paesi fanno ancora ampio affidamento sull&#039;energia nucleare per soddisfare il proprio fabbisogno energetico. In questo articolo, analizzeremo pi\u00f9 da vicino quali paesi utilizzano maggiormente l&#039;energia nucleare, sia in termini assoluti che in percentuale sulla produzione totale di elettricit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Quadro globale dell&#039;energia nucleare<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Oggi sono circa 440 i reattori nucleari in funzione in oltre 30 paesi in tutto il mondo. Questi reattori generano un totale di circa 390 gigawatt (GW) di elettricit\u00e0. Inoltre, circa 50 nuovi reattori sono in costruzione, principalmente nelle economie in via di sviluppo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;energia nucleare \u00e8 una componente fondamentale della strategia globale per ridurre le emissioni di gas serra, poich\u00e9 produce emissioni di carbonio minime durante il suo funzionamento. Tuttavia, la sua adozione varia significativamente da un paese all&#039;altro: alcuni la adottano come pilastro della propria politica energetica, mentre altri la rifiutano per preoccupazioni relative alla sicurezza, ai costi o alla gestione dei rifiuti.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Paesi leader nella produzione di energia nucleare (in numeri assoluti)<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. Stati Uniti d&#039;America<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Gli Stati Uniti sono al primo posto nel mondo per la produzione di energia nucleare, con <strong>94 reattori nucleari<\/strong> in funzione producendo circa <strong>95 gigawatt (GW)<\/strong> di elettricit\u00e0. Francia<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Francia ha <strong>56 reattori nucleari<\/strong> con una potenza totale di circa <strong>63 GW<\/strong>, rendendola il secondo produttore di energia nucleare al mondo. Ci\u00f2 che distingue la Francia \u00e8 la percentuale di elettricit\u00e0 generata dall&#039;energia nucleare, che raggiunge circa <strong>70%<\/strong> del totale, la percentuale pi\u00f9 alta a livello mondiale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Francia ha lanciato il suo ambizioso programma nucleare dopo la crisi petrolifera del 1973, con l&#039;obiettivo di ridurre la dipendenza dai combustibili fossili importati. Cina<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Cina \u00e8 attualmente operativa <strong>52 reattori nucleari<\/strong> con una potenza totale di circa <strong>50 GW<\/strong>Sebbene ci\u00f2 rappresenti solo circa <strong>5%<\/strong> della produzione totale di elettricit\u00e0 del Paese, la Cina sta rapidamente espandendo il suo programma nucleare.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Con <strong>17 reattori in costruzione<\/strong> Con decine di altri progetti in cantiere, si prevede che la Cina superer\u00e0 gli Stati Uniti come maggiore produttore mondiale di energia nucleare nei prossimi decenni. L&#039;espansione rientra negli sforzi del Paese per ridurre la dipendenza dal carbone e affrontare i gravi problemi di inquinamento atmosferico.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">4. Russia<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Russia ha <strong>38 reattori nucleari<\/strong> con una potenza totale di circa <strong>29 GW<\/strong>, producendo circa <strong>20%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del paese. Inoltre, la Russia sta attualmente producendo <strong>4 nuovi reattori<\/strong> e ha in programma di fare di pi\u00f9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Attraverso la sua societ\u00e0 statale Rosatom, la Russia \u00e8 anche uno dei principali esportatori di tecnologia nucleare, costruendo reattori in paesi come India, Turchia, Bangladesh ed Egitto. La Russia \u00e8 stata anche pioniera nello sviluppo di centrali nucleari galleggianti.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">5. Corea del Sud<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Corea del Sud opera <strong>24 reattori nucleari<\/strong> con una potenza totale di circa <strong>23 GW<\/strong>, che producono circa <strong>30%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese. Il Paese ha sviluppato una significativa competenza nazionale nella tecnologia nucleare ed \u00e8 recentemente entrato nel mercato globale dell&#039;esportazione di reattori nucleari, con il progetto Barakah negli Emirati Arabi Uniti come prima grande iniziativa internazionale.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Sebbene il governo precedente avesse annunciato piani per eliminare gradualmente l&#039;energia nucleare, l&#039;attuale amministrazione ha invertito questa politica, riconoscendo l&#039;importanza dell&#039;energia nucleare nel raggiungimento degli obiettivi di riduzione delle emissioni di carbonio.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Paesi con la pi\u00f9 alta percentuale di energia nucleare nel loro mix energetico<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. Francia: 70%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Come gi\u00e0 accennato, la Francia ha la pi\u00f9 alta percentuale di energia nucleare nel suo mix energetico mondiale, con circa <strong>70%<\/strong> della sua elettricit\u00e0 proviene da centrali nucleari. Ci\u00f2 ha permesso alla Francia di mantenere emissioni di carbonio relativamente basse nel settore energetico e di ridurre la sua dipendenza dai combustibili importati.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. Slovacchia: 53%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Slovacchia ha <strong>4 reattori nucleari<\/strong> che producono circa <strong>53%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese. Le due centrali nucleari del Paese si trovano a Bohunice e Mochovce. A Mochovce sono in costruzione altri due reattori, che dovrebbero aumentare ulteriormente la quota di energia nucleare.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Ucraina: 51%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Nonostante le sfide poste dall\u2019incidente di Chernobyl del 1986, l\u2019Ucraina continua a fare molto affidamento sull\u2019energia nucleare, con <strong>15 reattori<\/strong> che producono circa <strong>51%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese. La pi\u00f9 grande centrale nucleare d&#039;Europa, la centrale di Zaporizhia con sei reattori, si trova in Ucraina.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">4. Ungheria: 48%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;Ungheria ha <strong>4 reattori nucleari<\/strong> presso la stazione Paks, che produce circa <strong>48%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese. L&#039;Ungheria ha raggiunto un accordo con la Russia per la costruzione di due reattori aggiuntivi, con l&#039;obiettivo di mantenere un&#039;elevata quota di energia nucleare in futuro.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">5. Belgio: 47%<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Il Belgio ha <strong>7 reattori nucleari<\/strong> che producono circa <strong>47%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese. Tuttavia, il Paese ha legiferato per eliminare gradualmente l&#039;energia nucleare, con la chiusura di tutti i reattori prevista entro il 2025. Questa decisione ha scatenato dibattiti sulla sicurezza energetica e sulle emissioni di carbonio, con recenti discussioni sulla possibile estensione dell&#039;attivit\u00e0 di alcune unit\u00e0.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Potenze nucleari emergenti<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. L&#039;India<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;India \u00e8 attualmente operativa <strong>23 reattori nucleari<\/strong> con una potenza totale di circa <strong>7 GW<\/strong>, che rappresentano solo il <strong>3%<\/strong> della produzione totale di energia elettrica. Tuttavia, il paese ha ambiziosi piani di espansione, con <strong>8 reattori in costruzione<\/strong> e molto altro nel design.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Di particolare interesse \u00e8 il programma indiano sul torio, poich\u00e9 il Paese detiene circa 251 TP3T delle riserve mondiali di torio. Lo sviluppo di reattori che utilizzano il torio potrebbe garantire all&#039;India una maggiore indipendenza energetica.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. Emirati Arabi Uniti<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Gli Emirati Arabi Uniti (EAU) sono l&#039;ultimo arrivato nell&#039;elenco dei paesi che utilizzano l&#039;energia nucleare. La centrale nucleare di Barakah, la prima nel mondo arabo, \u00e8 entrata in funzione nel 2020. <strong>4 reattori<\/strong> della stazione, si prevede che produrranno circa <strong>25%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Questa iniziativa rientra negli sforzi degli Emirati Arabi Uniti per diversificare la propria economia, allontanandola dal petrolio e dal gas, e ridurre le emissioni di carbonio.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Turchia<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Turchia sta attualmente costruendo la sua prima centrale nucleare, Akkuyu, con <strong>4 reattori<\/strong> che dovrebbero produrre circa <strong>10%<\/strong> dell&#039;elettricit\u00e0 del Paese una volta completata. Il Paese ha anche in programma la costruzione di altre due centrali nucleari, a Sinop e Ignedas.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">I paesi che si stanno allontanando dall\u2019energia nucleare<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">1. Germania<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">La Germania, che un tempo possedeva uno dei pi\u00f9 grandi parchi reattori nucleari, ha deciso di eliminare gradualmente l&#039;energia nucleare dopo l&#039;incidente di Fukushima nel 2011. L&#039;ultimo reattore nucleare del Paese ha chiuso i battenti nell&#039;aprile 2023, segnando la fine dell&#039;era nucleare in Germania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Questa decisione ha scatenato un dibattito sull&#039;impatto sulle emissioni di carbonio del Paese, poich\u00e9 la Germania \u00e8 stata costretta a fare maggiore affidamento sul carbone e sul gas naturale, ampliando al contempo le fonti di energia rinnovabile.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">2. Italia<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;Italia ha chiuso i suoi ultimi reattori nucleari nel 1990, a seguito di un referendum tenutosi nel 1987 dopo l&#039;incidente di Chernobyl. Il paese ora importa quantit\u00e0 significative di elettricit\u00e0, in particolare dalla Francia, compresa l&#039;energia nucleare.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">3. Tuttavia, dopo l&#039;incidente di Fukushima, il Paese ha deciso di abbandonare gradualmente l&#039;energia nucleare, vietando la costruzione di nuovi reattori e prevedendo che quelli esistenti rimangano in funzione fino alla fine della loro vita utile.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Le tendenze future dell&#039;energia nucleare<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"text-lg font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-1.5\">Nuove tecnologie<\/h3>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Le tecnologie avanzate per i reattori, come i piccoli reattori modulari (SMR) e i reattori di quarta generazione, promettono maggiore sicurezza, costi ridotti e maggiore flessibilit\u00e0. Tuttavia, le preoccupazioni relative a sicurezza, costi e gestione dei rifiuti rimangono ostacoli significativi in molti paesi.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"text-xl font-bold text-text-100 mt-1 -mb-0.5\">Conclusioni<\/h2>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">L&#039;adozione dell&#039;energia nucleare varia considerevolmente a livello mondiale, con alcuni paesi che ne fanno affidamento per la maggior parte del loro fabbisogno energetico e altri che la abbandonano completamente. I maggiori produttori di energia nucleare in termini assoluti sono Stati Uniti, Francia, Cina, Russia e Corea del Sud, mentre paesi come Francia, Slovacchia e Ucraina presentano la pi\u00f9 alta percentuale di energia nucleare nel loro mix energetico.<\/p>\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Il futuro dell&#039;energia nucleare dipender\u00e0 da molti fattori, tra cui il successo delle nuove tecnologie nel ridurre i costi e migliorare la sicurezza, l&#039;accettazione pubblica e le politiche sui cambiamenti climatici.
